Just a little tidbit that came in via the comments -- there's a relatively new retro- and non-retro arcade gaming competition organization afoot, with weekly challenges and other events. So far it appears to be XBox 360-centric -- lots of stuff going on with Game Room -- but the group is looking to broaden its horizons.
