Several years ago, I discovered an excellent game music podcast entitled PC Engine City. The show wrapped up in 2007 after 24 episodes plus a few intermission bits. These days, creator sunteam_paul has a new, more wide-ranging game music podcast called Wibble -- but his new episode out today is essentially episode #25 of PC Engine City.
