What's on the wire recently...
WiiWare -- Just one new game this week, a pick-up-and-play puzzle game called Bang Attack that combines Concentration-style object matching with motion-control object smashing.
Wii Virtual Console -- Capcom's Mega Man 4 arrives, filling in one of the gaps between Mega Man 1-3, available on the Virtual Console, and Mega Man 9-10, on WiiWare.
DSiWare -- Another big DSi week, with 5 new releases. myPostcards allows users to take photos with the DSi camera, dress them up with the stylus, and send them to friends. EA's SURVIVING HIGH SCHOOL provides menu-driven stories of teen angst and drama, with substantial content. And three more Game & Watch recreations arrive: Flagman, Ball, and Donkey Kong Jr. (inspired by Nintendo's classic arcade game, scaled down to work in LCD style.)
XBox Live Arcade -- A double-feature release last week, Capcom's Final Fight: Double Impact, featuring ports of classic coin-op beat-'em-ups Final Fight and Magic Sword. Both are faithful to the original designs, with a variety of display options, original and remixed music, online and local 2-player co-op, and unlockable artifacts in addition to achievements. Very nicely done.
Game Room -- Still quiet on the game room front.
PS3 on PSN -- Two big releases last week. Capcom's Final Fight: Double Impact (see above), and Telltale Games' Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse, the third season of the successful episodic adventure series and the first Telltale title to appear on the PS3 (so far exclusively as far as consoles go).
