Apparently Namco liked it enough to do a Family Computer (Japan-only) remake called Warpman.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7274560874062585311.post-42192871869909704602013-11-04T16:56:08.657-08:002013-11-04T16:56:08.657-08:00"Warp Warp"? Oh my. The only memory I ..."Warp Warp"? Oh my. The only memory I have of that game is that I used its name in a song I "wrote" in 1982 or so (basically, I stole the tune to a choral song called "Go Out With Joy" and put in my own words). I called the song "Go Out To The Arcade", and its lyrics consisted of just about every post-Space-Invaders video game I knew existed. So, although I know there was a game called "Warp Warp", I have no memory of what it looked like or what its game play was like.Roger M. I have a PCB for Namco/Rock-Ola's "Warp Warp," and have never followed up with a cabinet to see if it even works. :)StillGaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18366215127642090500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7274560874062585311.post-25632912178114131442013-11-04T07:48:59.372-08:002013-11-04T07:48:59.372-08:00Your choice probably would have been better than m...Your choice probably would have been better than mine. Back in 1993, I bought a table-style arcade cabinet designed to play one game and one game only: _Moon Cresta_. It was by far my favorite game when it was out in the arcades in 1980-1981. I can still remember the ecstatic glee I felt the first time I reached 30,000 points and earned an extra 3 ships.Roger M. (I've got the left shoulder button mapped for snapshot capture so I can "snap a picture" while playing under MAME.)

Some of these collections use proprietary emulators, but Hanaho's Capcom Coin-Op Classics collection was released using a MAME build circa 1999, with ROM images officially licensed by Capcom.

If I were going to spring for an arcade cabinet, a CPS-1 system wouldn't be a bad way to go, although Capcom continues to make its titles available in modern multi-game cabinets so there are options.StillGaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18366215127642090500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7274560874062585311.post-31631857857519118462013-11-03T21:25:22.483-08:002013-11-03T21:25:22.483-08:00Are you using MAME to play these games at home, or...Are you using MAME to play these games at home, or did you actually get your hands on a physical arcade console?Roger M.
